This is awesome work :) glad I got on to check some music out while this was still easy to find in the latest tracks.

ZLEAP responds:

Thanks. It kind of drags on but its intended for background music for when I paint. I've been expanding on it by trying out leads and as soon as I acquire the appropriate equipment, will be adding live guitars.

Just wondering how do you compose your drum tracks, because I was hearing a little offbeat in the timing at the beginning, It seemed to straighten up midway tho, this has got potential, my personal advice is focus on putting some more varied drum loops together for a little while for some exercise, I like the notes ur working with, but the band pass on the lead synth was a wee bit overdone. kinda reminded me of some early Skinny Puppy :)

DESHIEL responds:

I am aware of that gap

The part where it goes off beat was has no snap on the grid, while the track was supposed to have it set on the line.

Also after you said that it sounds like a gang of skinny puppies, I am now constantly imagining them barking to my track ;D

The guitar, and synths work is great, drums are hard to keep up with, not a bad thing but some people might not be able to make sense of it.

DesoloZ responds:

yeah i know i wasnt able to hear what it sounds like after i exported lol im working with a computer that has 2 GB of RAM, that is hard to live with lmao

"I like how damn simple it is" Me too, it's all about how it comes out, sounds great :)

Nanashi responds:

A lot of artists have that problem where they'll keep 'fixing' their work until its dead. I'm the same way, so if I do anything more than stamp out a song in a few days, I'll normally kill it or lose interest, thus leading me to this minimalistic style.

Thanks for the positive review!

Great guitar work, love that lead work, way to make me feel like a scrub :) never played lead in any band tho just rhythm, lead is something I'm just now gettin brave enough to try out lol, but enough about me.. Theres a lot of soul in this track. GJ

RaceTTar responds:

thanks man. I listened to some of your stuff. dude, you're no scrub. Nara Rain Johnson is excellent. I know what you mean it's kind of unfinished. I think everyone has a bunch; I know I do:) I'm sure it's usually finding the time to work on it. The idea is solid. I enjoed it very much.

that was perty, good one mayne

Tremulos responds:

Thanks man, glad you liked it.

awesome progression as usual, finish it xD

Back-From-Purgatory responds:

Gonna have to if it's going on my album... So no worries there.

And glad you like it!

pretty sweet, not much for techno myself but the notes are pretty fuckin smart, good job

z-raven responds:

sweet review!

There is alotta creativity here in this track track, i just wish you would follow some of the do's and dont's of music a wee bit more. Sorry, I hate to give such a creative track a low score but 3.7/5 7.8/10, a lot of potential here and good luck, ur on the right path

pigmanlion responds:

hey thanks...yeah i guess it's kind of sloppy by today's standards... could yôu be a bit more specific though?

You got alot of talent

I like it how the drums just go crazy in this track, the instruments all work well together and i'm hearing a lot of variation in the notes, and chords used.
I can't say I've heard the track that you say inspired this one in the description, but either way it's a very well composed peice.

I personally usually try to work with repetive samples, progressions, or structures and then rely on chops, and layered build ups to keep the listener but..
It sounds like a lot of thought went into this tracks production. and it's one of those tracks that kinda makes me feel like a scrub when I compare my work to it lol, but anyways...
I feel like I learned something just by listening to it, :) So thanks.
5/5 9.8/10

DonCarrera responds:

Hey, thanks a ton for the feedback!

Yeah, my problem due to mostly creating IDM and similar, highly-repetitive material is that my songs are never, ever repetitive enough to the the vast majority of listeners.

Building upon something gets boring fast to me - and there's no real cure but to endure what sounds incredibly boring to me and face the fact that it seems absolutely fresh and new to others. Its apparent in the vast majority of what I do that I just can't spend time to repeat notes or build upon progressions (the latter also partially due to having no musical education whatsoever) as I often become enthralled in glitching up drums and adding tiny little ticks and plinks to spice things up beyond the necessary. Derpstep.

Anyways, glad you liked it. To be honest: I feel incredibly puny when I compare what I do to, say, The Flashbulb or Telefon Tel Aviv too, but you just gotta keep pushing and - as I've already found out to an extent - become better over time. There's just no way around that 8^Y!

Still, your material DOES compare to what I do and additionally can resonate much better with most Newgrounders in terms of warmth and style. Most people don't like the "empty", uncolored feel of my musiks, but, like me, savor a crunk, well-produced beat that gets your foot tapping.

Uh.... long response is long - must of gotten carried away. Kthx/speech
